ENVIRONMENT AND ENERGY
The Environment & Energy Committee monitors environmental issues within the City, County, and State to ensure both protection of our community's environment and the ability of businesses to responsibly operate, develop, and expand. The Committee provides research on a broad range of environmental issues; provides recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding legislative initiatives and administrative policies; informs the general membership of key issues that need to be addressed; and represents The Committee of 100 in public forums. When needed, the Environment & Energy Committee establishes subcommittees to address particularly pressing issues. Current subcommittees include the Brownfields, Air Quality, UDC (New Castle County Unified Development Code), Sewers, and Water Subcommittees.
